Welcome to graceonthehill.org!
With this, my first ever blog, there is a sense of satisfaction that I have finally “arrived!” I’m coming of age in this (for me) new world of social media. I’ve always been a talker and not one to spend long periods at the keyboard, but I think I’m going to like this unique form of communication. That being said, welcome to this new website for Grace on the Hill! It’s been a while in the making, and I’m sure all the bugs are not yet worked out, but we hope it gives you a quick but thorough snapshot of our church. Please spend a few minutes and take a look around. We welcome your feedback and you can email me or any of our staff with your pros and cons!
We just wrapped up our Christmas Eve Service with a great and lively crowd. We built the service around the theme of Hope. I believe Hope is a timely message for all of us. I was talking with a CPA and a MD the other day on separate occasions, and they expressed great concerns about new tax and health care laws that go into effect in 2011. They are like many others – genuinely worried about the rapidly changing world ahead of us. Christ is our anchor – He is our HOPE! The great hymn says it well, “On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand!” Isaiah says that God rules, and there will no end to His reign (Isaiah 9:6-8)! We need not fear, we need not be worried! He is our Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, and Prince of Peace! In the remaining days of 2010, speak often about HOPE and Peace! Merry Christmas, Happy New Year, and to God be the Glory!
