Food Pantry

“For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.” Mark 10:45

Recognizing that God has blessed us to be a blessing, Soul Food Pantry serves as a vehicle to share the overwhelming abundance God has showered on us with those in need in our community.  Emergency food and clothing is shared with love and respect to those who come for assistance.  It is our intention that they receive not only food for their physical hunger, but generous portions of kindness, grace and bible devotional to feed their spiritual and emotional hungers.  We believe the words of Jesus that this is one way we can respond directly to God’s love for us:

“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink,

I was a stranger and you invited me in.”  Matthew 25:35
We give extravagantly to everyone around us. We freely and joyfully give our time, and our resources. We share our talents. Most importantly we give our love, the same love that was so openly shared with us. In every act we do, in every breath we take, in every word we speak, we are always, always glorifying the Father.
Food pantry is open every Monday from 11am – 1pm

Every summer, our youth group, Crew412 participates in a mission called Reach. They travel to various states. Reach Mission Trips is a non-profit organization offering top quality mission trip experiences for Middle School and High School students. Reach supports Christian churches and organizations and actively encourages all participants to adopt a lifestyle of serving those in need in their home communities. By reaching out to others, Reach equips Christians with the skills and opportunities necessary to impact their world for Jesus Christ.

Dave & Julie Eberhard
The Eberhard’s overarching theme is to build capacity through teaching/training in Southeast Asia (10/40 Window).   Julie teaches high school math to missionary children at Grace International School in Chiang Mai, Thailand, allowing their missionary parents to minister in this part of the world in a multitude of ways. Dave teaches linguistics at Payap University (Thailand) to students from all over Southeast Asia. Many are speakers of minority languages who are committed to helping their own communities through Bible translation and literacy programs. Dave’s global role is to provide training workshops for minority communities who are facing the challenge of language endangerment. This training helps ethnic minorities assess the strength of their own language, and guides them into making informed decisions about the future use of the various languages they speak. These community decisions can then help shape strategies for Bible translation/mission organizations.

You would also direct first-time church visitors throughout church whether it would be to a class, a worship service, or just simply to a cup of coffee. If you would like to serve in this ministry, see Tim Bryant.
